Database on National Accreditation & Data Access Conditions

Researchers' access to microdata from official statistics and administrative data is often difficult, partly owing to scarcity of information on access and accreditation conditions.

This database contains country factsheets that will hopefully support researchers in their data discovery efforts, providing essential information in a standard format and similar terminology (explained in detail in the annexed Glossary). There are 32 such factsheets, one for each country covered (except in Germany where 2 data-disseminating institutions are covered).

Focus is on the data produced by the National Statistical Institute, the leading statistical agency within a country. Together with basic information (conditions, modes of access, timing, costs etc.), there are links to all the relevant websites, application forms and other online documentation provided by national institutions.

Click on the name of the countries below to access the corresponding factsheets. A glossary listing and clarifying the concept and terms used is accessible [Here] and at any time when browsing the factsheets.
