Workshop on "Access to Official Microdata & Accreditation of Researchers in Eastern European Countries"
DwB is conducting a Europe-wide study of national-level rules, practices and procedures for researchers’ accreditation to access official statistical microdata for scientific purposes.
Therefore, DwB organised a joint workshop on the “Access to Official Microdata & Accreditation of Researchers in Eastern European Countries”, held in the premises of the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, University of Bucharest, Romania (Council Room) on Monday 23 January 2012.
Focusing on Eastern European countries, this workshop aims to map existing modes of access to microdata for researchers and accreditation arrangements, taking into account the potential risks over data disclosure as well as the needs and expectations of all stakeholders.
Attending delegates are from National Statistical Institutes of several European countries, and were invited to present the process of researcher access to microdata, with a special emphasis on accreditation, in their own countries.
