Workshop on metadata standards
DwB has organised a joint workshop on metadata standard issues, in collocation with EDDI 2011, held in the premises of the University of Gothenburg, Sweden (room A1 318) on 7 December 2011.
This has been the opportunity to establish a common framework where the DwB stakeholders (data archives, NSIs, researchers) could situate their own activities and identify the metadata standards that are relevant to them.
In particular, it has focussed on: SDMX (http://sdmx.org/), DDI (http://www.ddialliance.org/) and the GSBPM (General Statistical Business Process Model - http://www1.unece.org/stat/platform/display/metis/The+Generic+Statistical+Business+Process+Model).
Each standard has been described and related to the others, and the ongoing works directed to their articulation have been presented.
